Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance the ongoing development of client-centric security initiatives, standards, and compliance strategies. This position will provide expert information security support and advisory services to our Brands, focusing on managing clients' security requirements, agreements, and assessment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk evaluations of assets, infrastructure, and systems to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities.
- Assess the impact and likelihood of identified risks, prioritizing them according to their severity.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to gather essential information for risk assessment.
- Design and implement suitable security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate identified risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Work alongside the IT and security teams to ensure alignment with existing security frameworks and standards.
- Establish security requirements and guidelines for technology infrastructure during the integration phase.
- Monitor and identify emerging security threats, including data breaches, unauthorized access, and insider risks.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to detect potential security gaps and recommend appropriate actions.
- Lead security initiatives and projects aimed at minimizing risks associated with acquisitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely implementation of security measures.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as legal, IT, and operations teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders and leadership, providing clear updates on security risks, mitigation efforts, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external security audits as necessary.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to address any security-related contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in IT Security, Risk, Audit, or information systems within a dynamic enterprise IT environment is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT).
- Understanding of technology infrastructure, systems, and network security principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize risks effectively.
- Previous experience in a role requiring analytical, problem-solving, and effective communication skills to convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high security standards.
- Experience engaging with external client audit staff to minimize high-risk findings.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and principles.
- Solid grasp of the governance and compliance requirements of GDPR.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, architectures, and philosophies in the Cyber/Information Security domain.
