Senior Sales Engineer

The Parallels Sales Expert plays a pivotal role in the pre-sales phase of projects, providing in-depth expertise on Parallels products, particularly Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace, and the newly launched Parallels DaaS and Parallels Browser Isolation. This role is instrumental in the sales process, ensuring the successful onboarding of new customers and partners.
The ideal candidate possesses an in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies. They will collaborate closely with the sales team to comprehend customer requirements, conduct product demonstrations, and assist in the setup of Proof of Concept. The Parallels Sales Expert must articulate the value proposition of Parallels solutions effectively.
Beyond technical expertise, the Parallels Sales Expert is a skilled communicator who thrives in collaborative efforts with customers and partners. They possess a sense of ownership and trustworthiness, adeptly empathizing with customers to translate their needs into tailored solutions offered by Parallels.
The Parallels Sales Expert is expected to conduct occasional training sessions for partners and customers, showcasing their enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. Additionally, they are willing to travel to industry events to provide on-booth or on-stage support to the sales and marketing teams.
This position requires the candidate to be located in the European Union or United Kingdom, with a focus on covering customers and partners mainly in Europe and the Middle East. English is a mandatory language, with other languages being a strong plus. Arabic is particularly desirable for this role, given the emphasis on the Middle East market.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed demonstrations of Parallels products.
- Provide in-depth technical assistance to potential customers.
- Take ownership of Proof of Concepts, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in the design, implementation, and support of Parallels products.
- Offer guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on technical issues.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of Parallels and related competitors' products.
- Develop project concepts and proposals to address customer needs and requests.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Sales Management, and Channel Partners to optimize technical resources for sales efforts.
- Coordinate technical sales support activities for potential customers and existing accounts.
- Plan and conduct technical training sessions and webinars for Channel Partners and customers.
- Mentor and assist in training Sales Engineers, new hires, and the sales team as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering for products operating in the same domains as Parallels, including application/desktop virtualization, security, and IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following technologies: Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMWare Horizon, Microsoft RDS or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services - TS/RDSH/Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing.
- Working knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure solutions relating to Systems, Network, and Security.
- Experience in cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
- Ability to perform product demonstrations and presentations to technical and executive audiences.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical documentation.
- Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.
