Job Title: Flight Software Engineer for Onboard Image Processing Systems Development

Deimos Space is seeking a highly skilled Flight Software Engineer to join our team in the development of onboard image processing systems for space missions.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented engineer with experience in embedded software and FPGA engineering to participate in the entire lifecycle of the development of embedded onboard systems, including implementation on different target hardware platforms of real-time image processing or artificial intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of software and firmware for onboard systems
  • Participation in software and system validation and system qualification
  • Interaction with other technical areas inside the company, responsible for the definition of specific algorithms to be implemented onboard
Requirements:
  • Recognized engineering degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications
  • Demonstrable experience in embedded software and FPGA engineering
  • Knowledge of implementation techniques for image processing or neural networks in target HW
  • Good programming skills in C, C++, Python, and VHDL
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in internal MpSoc communications, communication buses, and drivers
  • Development of real-time software in embedded systems
  • Knowledge of SW coding standards (MISRA-C)
