Job Description

We are seeking an Energy Storage Project Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our energy storage team, you will be responsible for developing utility-scale battery storage projects, including hybridized and standalone BESS, until the Ready-to-Build milestone.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop utility-scale battery storage projects until Ready-to-Build milestone, including collaboration with external development entities.
  • Ensure follow-up of stakeholders, such as grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and the wider public, as part of the project development process.
  • Conduct high-level site analysis and support due diligence processes of projects, and actively participate in projects portfolio acquisition.
  • Follow-up regularly on regulatory changes and market reforms concerning battery storage in Spain.
  • Cultivate the interface with external partners, REDEN Iberia, and REDEN Group support functions.
  • Own and prepare all relevant documents within REDEN group and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master degree in engineering, environmental science, or urbanism.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing renewables projects in Spain, or at least 2 years in developing BESS projects, ideally focused on permitting and grid applications.
  • Good knowledge of local development process, local regulations, and call for tenders' mechanisms.
  • Good understanding of grid connection permitting.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and BESS revenue streams.
  • Fluent level in Spanish and English.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, and ability to work in a diverse team across several locations.
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills with a result-oriented approach.
  • Open-minded and pugnacious.
