We are seeking a talented Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team at Siemens Gamesa, a global leader in energy technology. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of firmware for wind turbine power control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement firmware for power electronics converter control modules using C language.
  • Develop low-level firmware for peripherals like I2C, SPI, CAN, or ADC.
  • Analyze requirements documents and create detailed specifications, requirements, and firmware design documents.
  • Verify changes implemented in the firmware and manage software versions using a version control tool.
  • Participate in converter validation to ensure compliance with design requirements in cooperation with the whole converter design team.
  • Adhere to the quality process through the execution of test procedures.
  • Cooperate with other engineering teams to support product testing and certifications.
Requirements:
  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.
  • At least 3 years of experience in embedded firmware developments using C language.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded systems.
  • Experience in firmware design for DSPs and microcontrollers and ZYNQ SoC.
  • Real-Time Operating Systems.
  • Control engineering basics (PIDs, frequency analysis, etc.).
  • Electronic Instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, Signal Generators).
  • Digital hardware design basics (understanding of electrical diagrams).
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing.
