Senior Firmware Engineer

Grooo Ab is seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our firmware team, you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware for our camera products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ development for embedded systems, with a focus on firmware architecture and design. Experience with Linux and CI/CD processes is essential, as is familiarity with SoC development on platforms like NXP I.MX and Ambarella CV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the firmware team to develop and maintain firmware across all camera products.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices in firmware development.
  • Lead the team in making critical code architectural decisions, focusing on performance optimization and maximizing code reusability.
  • Implement and promote best practices in firmware development, including version control strategies, code quality standards, and continuous integration processes.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in firmware architecture and design with hands-on experience in embedded environments.
  • Experience in developing and designing firmware, particularly in C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD processes, particularly with Jenkins for nightly builds and continuous integration.
  • Strong command of version control systems like Git, ensuring rigorous code management and review processes.
  • Familiarity with SoCs from the NXP I.MX family and Ambarella CV family, or similar architectures.
