Job Description

The Senior UX/UI Designer will lead the design effort with a customer-first approach, advocating for usability and simplicity in financial products. They will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and business teams to ensure designs align with business goals and meet user needs.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with 2+ years experience in consumer finance, fintech, or a related industry and 2+ years experience with Android mobile design. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, with a focus on financial or complex transactional interfaces, is required.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of Figma, strong skills in online usability testing tools, and animation (motion design) tools that are Lottie compatible. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design effort with a customer-first approach, advocating for usability and simplicity in financial products.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and business teams to ensure designs align with business goals and meet user needs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual language, adhering to branding guidelines while also setting new standards for UI excellence in finance.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users, iterating on designs to optimize the user experience.
  • Support the building and expansion of the style guide and design system, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints and efficient collaboration with development teams.
  • Stay current with UX/UI best practices, trends, and emerging technologies, especially those in the financial services industry.

Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with 2+ years experience in consumer finance, fintech, or a related industry and 2+ years experience with Android mobile design.
  • Portfolio with case studies: A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, with a focus on financial or complex transactional interfaces.
  • Tools Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Figma, strong skills in online usability testing tools, and animation (motion design) tools that are Lottie compatible.
  • User Research Skills: Experience conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
