Digital Ethics Specialist for AI4S Project

About the Role:
Become a part of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) team, a leading supercomputing center in Spain, and contribute to the development of AI4Science Fellowships (AI4S). This program aims to attract and retain talent in the convergence of HPC and AI, focusing on the intersection of AI-digital ethics for dual-use computational modeling and decision-making discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the integration of digital ethics for dual-use technologies research into current and future developments, including abductive reasoning, anticipation, code of ethics, morality of constructed spaces, and natural interrelation of facts and values. Interact with partners from various national, European, and pan-European research projects. Contribute to scientific publications and reports for involved projects.
Requirements:
PhD in Cognitive Science and Language, with a strong focus on technology, considering technical, ethical, and socio-cultural dimensions. A bachelor's in Philosophy (applied) is highly valued. Essential knowledge includes the relation between moral values and technology, at least 4 years of post-doctoral experience, and 5 relevant scientific contributions in the last 5 years. International experience is crucial. Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in Spanish and other European languages is advantageous. Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks, like EU AI Act, is valuable. Competences include the ability to work in a team and multi-cultural environment.
