Mainframe Business Specialist

As a key member of our Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) team, you will play a pivotal role in providing subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, and solution/technical specialization to position Broadcom competitively in the market.

With a strong focus on opening key opportunities for our largest mainframe customers, you will build strong relationships and understand their business and IT challenges.

By working closely with our sales teams, you will assist in technically qualifying solutions and their benefits to customers and/or partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical leadership and oversight during trials, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and complex demos
  • Effectively presenting and positioning the benefits of Broadcom's solutions to support clients' technical and functional requirements
  • Maintaining deep technical knowledge of Broadcom's mainframe products and providing technical specifications and requirements documentation
  • Fostering and building relationships with customers and partners to develop references
  • Assisting account teams in achieving financial targets through the opportunity planning process
  • Helping sales teams accurately assess and forecast opportunities
  • Evaluating cost-effective options for executing opportunities without compromising deliverable quality or customer perceptions
  • Ensuring long-term stability and sustainability of the book-of-business
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to effectively pursue opportunities
  • Providing feedback to product management based on client experiences to facilitate product improvements
  • Mastering internal processes and tools for proposal development, solution architecture, and need-based sales methodology

This influential role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality recommendations using relevant best practices.
