Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer - Electric Motor Design to join our R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance electric motors for aircraft applications.
Key Responsibilities- Simulation and Analysis: Develop and implement simulation models to analyze and optimize electric motor performance, including thermal aspects.
- Requirements Specification: Define and document requirements for electric motor design, including performance, thermal, and reliability criteria.
- Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop electric motor architectures, schematics, and PCBs.
- Validation and Verification: Conduct thorough validation and verification of electric motor integration functionalities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate and publish timely engineering documentation, including schematics, BOMs, production files, 3D models, drawings, analyses, and technical trade-off reports.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in power electronics, electric motors, and Matlab-Simulink environment.
- Skills: Strong understanding of electronic circuits, physical principles governing avionics hardware design, and high-reliability designs.
- Tools and Technologies: Experience with COTS, automotive, space, and military electronic components, as well as thermal and EMI/EMC analysis tools.
- Environmental and EMC Testing: Experience with DO-160, MIL, and other relevant testing standards.
- Software Development: Knowledge of Eagle, DO-254, and Git.
- UAV Sector: Familiarity with the UAV industry and its challenges.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Ability to work in a transversal and multitasking environment, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making skills.
