Job Overview

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Professional to join our multicultural team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in Barcelona.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who is eager to dive deep into processes and deliver results-driven solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the payroll processing cycle for a country or company, depending on size and complexity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Payroll Balances and controls at input and output (Source to Gross, Gross to Net)
  • Payroll Accounting support
  • Complex payroll queries & escalations
  • Vendor operations management
  • Point of contact for stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Local HR, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury and others)

What You'll Do

You will work closely with various teams, including Benefits, Compensation, and HR, to ensure seamless payroll operations. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to abstract requirements independently will be essential in this role.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Spanish Payroll
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, and other formulas)
  • Good analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Experience with Spanish Labor Code, Taxation, Social Security System

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP software will be advantageous. Additionally, a sense of innovation and process transition experience will be valued.
