Ebury, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a highly skilled professional to join its team as an Onboarding Risk Analyst. As a key member of the compliance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of clients while maintaining the highest standards of financial crime prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding Ebury's Reputation: Conduct thorough reviews to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions risk, tax evasion, and reputational risk.
- Comprehensive Client Due Diligence: Perform anti-financial crime checks as part of the Ebury onboarding process for corporate clients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Complex Ownership Structure Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of corporate clients' ownership structures, financial statements, and transaction patterns to identify potential risks.
- Global Compliance Expertise: Apply knowledge of local regulations and business sectors to ensure compliance with Ebury's onboarding requirements.
- Client Communication: Effectively present Ebury's onboarding requirements to clients in a clear and compliant manner.
- Red Flag Identification: Identify potential red flags and escalate to Compliance and Senior Management as necessary.
- Risk-Based Decision Making: Make informed decisions to onboard or reject applications based on risk assessments.
- Portfolio Management: Efficiently manage a personal portfolio of onboarding cases, ensuring timely completion of analysis.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and compliant client files, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding process and implement changes as needed.
- Support to Audits and Projects: Assist in preparation and management of data and information required for internal and external audits, and support ad-hoc projects within the department and wider business.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Fluency in English; any other language is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of experience conducting CDD and EDD with corporate clients.
