Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unreal Developer to join our team as the right-hand person to our CTO. This individual will play a pivotal role in the development of our flagship product, Univrse, as well as multi-user VR experiences. The ideal candidate will not only execute tasks but also contribute to the creative process through critical thinking and innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Architecture and Planning: Design and plan the architecture of features that contribute to the core framework of Univrse, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
- Feature Implementation: Implement new features and systems in close collaboration with the team to maintain high code quality and consistency.
- Code Development: Create robust structures with clear, well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Collaboration with Technical Artists: Partner with the technical artist team to define and develop content in modern, real-time environments, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience.
- Research and Development: Conduct research to identify technological solutions to product and business challenges, driving innovation and growth.
- Guidelines and Standards: Establish guidelines for coding standards and best practices, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
- Professional Experience: At least 4-5 years of professional experience as an Unreal Developer, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior programmer capacity.
- Team Management: Experience managing a team of programmers, with a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.
- Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile environment, with a strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.
- XR Development: Knowledge and experience developing XR apps, particularly AR and VR, with familiarity with OpenXR, SteamVR, and OculusVR Unreal libraries, as well as modern hardware (Oculus Quest 2, HTC Focus 3).
- Multiplayer Development: Deep knowledge of developing multiplayer/networked applications, with expertise in both server and client-side programming.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C++ and experience with version control platforms such as GIT (Bitbucket).
- Software Design Principles: Strong knowledge of software design principles, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Game Backend Services: Knowledge of Game Backend services, with experience in integrating with RESTful web APIs.
- Data Collection: Knowledge of data collection for analytics applied to games, with a focus on user engagement and behavior.
- Organizational Tools: Familiarity with organizational tools such as Slack, Trello, Hack'nPlan, or similar apps, with experience in project management and collaboration.
- Technological Developments: A genuine interest in the latest technological developments in the industry, with a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations.
- Shaders and Graphics: Experience working with shaders, with a strong understanding of graphics programming and optimization techniques.
- Quality Focus: A focus on delivering high-quality work, with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
- Team Player: A positive attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changes and new feature requirements.
- Language Requirements: Excellent level of Spanish and at least intermediate level of English.
