Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unreal Developer to join our multidisciplinary and international team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our flagship product, Univrse, and contribute to the creation of immersive multi-user VR experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture and Planning: Design and plan the architecture of features that contribute to the core framework of Univrse, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Feature Development: Implement new features and systems, collaborating closely with the team to maintain high code quality and consistency.
  • Code Optimization: Create robust structures with clear, well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Research: Partner with the technical artist team to define and develop content in modern, real-time environments, and conduct research to find innovative technological solutions to product and business challenges.
  • Technical Leadership: Set guidelines for coding standards and best practices, ensuring the team's technical excellence and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: At least 4-5 years of professional experience as an Unreal Developer, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior programmer capacity.
  • Team Management: Experience managing a team of programmers, with a proven track record of leadership and technical guidance.
  • Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile environment, with a strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.
  • XR Expertise: Knowledge and experience developing XR apps, especially AR and VR, with familiarity with OpenXR, SteamVR, and OculusVR Unreal libraries, as well as the latest hardware (Oculus Quest 2, HTC Focus 3).
  • Programming Skills: Deep knowledge of developing multiplayer/networked applications, both server and client-side programming, with proficiency in C++.
  • Version Control: Knowledge of version control platforms such as GIT (Bitbucket).
  • Software Design: Strong knowledge of software design principles, with the ability to apply them in a real-world context.
Desirable Skills
  • Game Backend Services: Knowledge of Game Backend services, with experience in developing and integrating them into XR applications.
  • Multiplayer Development: Deep knowledge of developing multiplayer/networked applications, with experience in both server and client-side programming.
  • RESTful APIs: Knowledge of programming apps or games that consume RESTful web APIs, with experience in integrating them into XR applications.
  • Data Analytics: Knowledge of data collection for analytics applied to games, with experience in implementing and analyzing data-driven insights.
  • Organizational Tools: Familiarity with organizational tools such as Slack, Trello, Hack'nPlan, or similar apps, with experience in using them to manage projects and teams.
  • Technological Awareness: A genuine interest in the latest technological developments in the industry, with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations.
  • Shaders and Graphics: Experience in working with shaders, with a strong understanding of graphics programming and optimization techniques.
  • Quality Focus: A focus on delivering high-quality work, with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Team Player: A team player with a positive attitude, able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
Language Requirements
  • Spanish: Must have an excellent level of Spanish.
  • English: An at least intermediate level of English.
