Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unreal Developer to join our team as the right-hand man of our CTO. This is a key role in the development of our product, Univrse, and the creation of multi-user VR experiences. The ideal candidate will not only excel in coding but also contribute to the creative process, think critically, and partner closely with our technical artist team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and plan architecture with features that contribute to the core framework of Univrse.
- Implement new features and systems, ensuring good code quality and consistency, working closely with the rest of the team.
- Create robust structures with clear, well-documented code.
- Partner closely with the technical artist team to define and develop content in modern, real-time environments.
- Conduct research to find technological solutions to product and business challenges.
- Set guidelines for coding standards and best practices.
- At least 4-5 years of professional experience as a Unreal developer, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior programmer capacity.
- Experience in managing a team of programmers.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge and experience developing XR apps, especially AR and VR, and familiarity with OpenXR, SteamVR, and OculusVR libraries.
- Deep knowledge of developing multiplayer/networked applications, both server and client-side programming.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Knowledge of version control platforms such as GIT (Bitbucket).
- Strong knowledge of software design principles.
- Knowledge of Game Backend services.
- Deep knowledge of developing multiplayer/networked applications, both server and client-side programming.
- Knowledge of programming apps or games that consume RESTful web API's.
- Knowledge on data collection for analytics applied to games.
- Familiarity with organisational tools such as Slack, Trello, Hack'nPlan, or similar apps.
