Job Description

As a Calibration Engineer for Powertrain Systems, you will be responsible for developing calibration for GPF and EM performance based on vehicle testing activities. This includes defining test plans and required resources for calibration development, managing vehicle preparation activities, and post-processing and analyzing vehicle testing results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop calibration proposals to the team Calibration Technical Referent Engineer for engines/applications and different markets (China, Japan, Europe, US).
  • Regular communication and coordination with the global specialist teams of the functions under responsibility.
  • Responsible for vehicle testing as user Model-Based Calibration (MBC) methodologies for GPF and EM calibration development.
  • Identify and provide feedback to MBC developers as vehicle calibration engineer specialist towards improvement and implementation of MBC methodologies.
  • Develop planning, preparation, and technical activities for successful development of GPF&EM calibration for Petrol and Hybrid applications for markets such as China, Japan, Europe, and US based on vehicle testing activities.
Requirements:
  • Industrial/Aerospace/Informatics/Telecommunications Engineering (PhD wished, MSc required).
  • High/Mid English level required (Japanese Mid-level would be wished).
  • Experience on petrol powertrain calibration, vehicle must, engine dyne wished (>> 2years must,>> 3years wished).
  • Know-How on Calibration Tools (Inca, CalDesk, Concerto, MDA, DDT200, Consult).
  • Know-How on Automotive Powertrain simulation is wished (Matlab, Simulink, GT-Power, Python).
  • Flexibility to travel internationally.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Good communication skills.
