Job Summary

The Head of IoT Business Development will lead the team responsible for the Internet of Things (IoT) business within Telefonica Global Solutions. This role will define the business strategy and positioning of our IoT services in the market to achieve expected targets in terms of revenues and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elaborate and monitor the IoT business plan, including sales, revenue, and gross margin objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, marketing, and other internal areas.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to define and implement action plans.
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage contracts.
  • Ensure sales, revenue, and profitability targets are met.
  • Monitor and optimize end-to-end processes.
  • Design new processes and offers.
  • Manage a team and resources assigned to the area.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of international management experience in the IoT business field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology, including IoT and Big Data.
  • Proven knowledge of business case management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Telecommunications.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in presenting to customers.
  • Ability to work in a team and matrix organization environment.
  • Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal setting, and problem-solving.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
