About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. - C94. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our data centers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Lead negotiations with contractors and vendors to secure the best possible terms.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
  • 4+ years of related construction management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical engineering best practices, including breaker coordination studies and NEC code.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, and OSHA.
  • Ability to define data center system-level architecture and specify performance and equipment requirements.
