Job Title: Head of Art

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Art to join our team at Tropicfeel, S.L. as we continue to shape the future of travel and outdoor gear.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our art direction and visual identity efforts, ensuring that our brand's creative vision is consistently executed across all channels and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate the artistic vision and visual identity of Tropicfeel.
  • Ensure that all creative work aligns with the brand's core values, mission, and target audience.
  • Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to keep Tropicfeel's creative approach fresh and innovative.
  • Conceptualize and execute innovative and visually appealing marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Design and oversee the production of various assets, including website design, social media graphics, print materials, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to help ensure appropriate brand identity application to our product range.
  • Lead art direction and visual identity of in-house and externalized content shootings, including but not limited to product art, styling, casting, scouting, and more.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in design software and tools and train team members accordingly.
  • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in design elements, color schemes, typography, and imagery.
  • Conduct regular audits of visual assets and marketing materials to identify and address inconsistencies or issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers and artists, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the outsourcing of talent & stylists, photographers & editors, and any agency needed for specific projects.
Requirements:
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in an Art direction background.
  • Strong affinity with the outdoor and travel gear industry.
  • Advanced in English and Spanish, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Be a person with critical thinking and a proactive attitude.
