Internship Program at MAHLE

MAHLE offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading international development partner and supplier to the automotive industry.

Job Description

As a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Intern at MAHLE, you will support the HSE Technician functions, including risk assessment, technical reporting, and managing and monitoring HSE training of employees.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Prevention and Environment department in all its functions.
  • Form part of the company's own occupational risk prevention service.
  • Support the risk assessment according to the specialities assumed by the SPP (health and safety); drawing up, updating and revising the document, etc.
  • Help out with specific assessments or studies in the field of Ergonomics and Psychosociology. Help in the implementation of measures aimed at avoiding or reducing risks in this discipline.
  • Support the planning of preventive activity; establishing the preventive and corrective measures that are necessary according to the results of the risk assessments. Drawing up, updating and revising the document. Monitoring and control of the planning of the preventive activity of the SPP and SPA.
  • Give assistance to the HSE colleagues in the management of preventive and corrective measures; carrying out the necessary steps to ensure the implementation of preventive and corrective measures.
  • Give support in the management of PPE; orders, delivery, documentary record of deliveries, etc.
  • Give assistance to the measurements of any type (lighting, temperature, humidity, noise, chemical contaminants, ; preparation of reports. Management of equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Help with the management of the virtual platform for preventive management; uploading of data, reports, etc.
  • Support in the management of staff health surveillance; coordination with the SPA for medical check-ups, documentary control of letters of aptitude or resignations, etc.
  • Coordination of business activities; establishment of means of coordination with external companies, management of platforms for the CAE, etc.
  • Support in the management of preventive maintenance of equipment and installations.
  • Support and management tasks in internal and external audits to be carried out.
  • Support and management of inspections. Possible assistance to labour inspection and management of requirements.
  • Assistance on the management of the environmental part of the company and the department; audits, follow-up of action plans, environmental training for company staff, ISO 14001.

Requirements
  • As a bachelor's degree or master's student, you will have successfully completed your basic course or will have completed at least three semesters as part of a bachelor's degree.
  • Good English skills. Any other additional language would be a plus.
  • An independent, goal-orientated approach to work
