Lead Digital Transformation Projects


Festo Automation S.A.U. is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join our Digital Hub in Barcelona. As a global leader in engineering, we create and develop highly specialized technical tools for various applications, including industrial automation, chemical depuration, and 3D modeling.


As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for leading key digital transformation projects across the company, driving strategic initiatives within eCommerce, product configuration, analytics, and digital sales innovation. You will have the opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology stack, including React and AWS, in an informal, agile, and technology-focused work environment.


Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain complex Single Page Applications for product selection and simulation, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface.
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with other development teams to adapt the existing architecture to use Module Federation for micro-frontend implementations.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies to deliver high-quality features within an iterative development cycle.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, ensuring best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the front-end application for speed and scalability.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team, helping to elevate the team's technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:


  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing front-end applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern build tools such as Webpack and NPM.
  • A commitment to writing high-quality code and delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
  • An independent, structured approach to work, coupled with holistic thinking.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Spanish and German is a plus but not mandatory.
