Room Service Manager

Join our esteemed team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited as a Room Service Manager, where you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional service and exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and support to assistant managers, order takers, servers, and mini bar attendants.
  • Train, evaluate, and schedule Room Service staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Inspect Room Service areas, floors, and service landings to maintain high standards of service.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and coordinate special arrangements.
  • Enforce established guidelines and policies of the hotel and take disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Implement new menus and promotions, including holiday and special event promotions.
  • Conduct daily departmental meetings with Room Service staff to engage and motivate.
  • Manage event orders and special IRD events, ensuring timely delivery and proper set-up and breakdown.
  • Communicate group information and changes to hotel colleagues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain an active guest history system for F&B preferences.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of guest orders, including amenities.
  • Provide instruction and guidance on guest and employee safety in emergency situations.
  • Ensure menu accuracy, including current, correct, and clean presentation.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and agents, including MSDS sheets and procedures.
