About the Position

Klang Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Development Lead to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our ambitious MMO project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of a scalable and efficient game engine built on a foundation of distributed systems and ECS architecture.
  2. Collaborate with our engineering team to identify and resolve complex technical challenges across the game's C# codebase.
  3. Design and implement user interfaces using EvolveUI, a modern and high-performance UI framework for game development.
  4. Work closely with our game design, UI/UX design, and art teams to ensure a cohesive and engaging player experience.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of professional programming experience with C#, C++, or Java.
  2. Experience with modern game engines and/or backend systems, with Unity experience being a plus.
  3. Strong understanding of complex systems and the ability to navigate and optimize them.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical and design challenges.
  5. Strong foundation in memory management and algorithmic complexity, with the ability to write performant code.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with large-scale online multiplayer games, from concept to release.
  2. Knowledge of ECS architectures, such as Unity DOTS or equivalent.
  3. Experience with network APIs, including REST and gRPC.
  4. Understanding of distributed systems and actor frameworks, such as Akka or Orleans.
  5. Ability to ensure the stability and reliability of the game, with a focus on operational responsibilities.
