About the Role
Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced International Service Team Leader to lead our Underwriting Operations team in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6-7 employees, developing and implementing business processes, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Underwriting Operations team in Spain, including developing and implementing business processes and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Develop and maintain fluent communication with central teams, SC Spain team, and IPZ network to ensure alignment and delivery of digital solutions.
- Participate and co-lead IPZ Transformation projects, including Wording Digitalization and Product roll out in Neo.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with IPZ network, SC Spain team, and central teams to improve operations and services provided.
- Manage FL and Property Prime wording database and shared inbox, and deliver high-quality solutions and drive continuous improvement activities.
- Lead the functional area by setting individual objectives, reviewing performance/appraisals, and providing ongoing feedback to staff.
- Model behaviors that demonstrate commitment to corporate values and drive philosophy for performance management into the organization.
Requirements
- 5-8 years' experience in IPZ, either with an UWS or an UWR background.
- Strong insurance background (business administration, economics, insurance management or similar).
- Understanding of insurance operations with special focus on handling highly complex international accounts.
- Strong leadership skills, experience, and coaching capabilities.
- Analytic and strategic thinker.
- Process and solution-oriented through Zurich Lean activities.
- Experience managing and defining international business processes and operations.
- Ability to follow Operating directives and Performance Metrics.
- Advanced level of English.
- Other languages welcome (i.e. Spanish).
