The Greater Toledo Community Foundation is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as its Vice President of Philanthropic Services. This key role will play a vital part in advancing the organization’s mission by building and maintaining strategic partnerships with donors, community leaders, and stakeholders.
About Us:
The Greater Toledo Community Foundation is a dynamic community asset, serving as a collection of funds established by donors to support philanthropy in the Toledo area. With assets exceeding $400 million and granting approximately $20 million annually, we are the largest grant maker in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of professionals responsible for development and donor services, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance relationships with potential and current donors, affiliated community foundations, and professional advisors.
- Maintain a high level of expertise on state and federal taxes, gift and estate giving methods, and charitable giving laws.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Vice President, Board, and Development Committee to develop long-term funding opportunities aligning with our strategic plan.
- Provide staff support to the President, EVP, and Board regarding development activities and ensure smooth operations within the organization.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of professional fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing six-figure major gifts and planned gifts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal taxes and gift and estate giving methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop interpersonal relationships with multiple constituents.
- Ability to plan, organize, manage, and remain accountable, with experience in group presentations and committee management.
- Impeccable ethics, initiative, enthusiasm, and ability to establish credibility.
Benefits:
This is an in-office position with remote work one day per week. The compensation package includes a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 and a generous benefits package.
