William Vaughan Company is a leading provider of structural steel solutions based in Toledo, Ohio. We are seeking an experienced Chief Accounting Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

The Chief Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of our organization. This includes cash flow management and forecasting, insurance policies, month-end closings, WIP, workers compensation, and permits. The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements.">
• Organization and facilitation of safety training sessions to maintain a safe work environment.">
• Maintenance of accurate records for Work in Progress (WIP), ensuring proper allocation of costs and timely reporting.">
• Management of the company's insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage and timely renewals.">
• Oversight of the ordering and renewal of necessary permits, licenses, and tags for company operations, ensuring timely submission and compliance with local regulations.">
• Support of operational departments by tracking key performance indicators and providing necessary financial information for decision-making.">

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting is essential. Experience with insurance management, workers' compensation, and safety training programs is also desirable.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
