Job Summary

The Centre De Regulació Genòmica (Crg) is seeking a highly skilled Stem Cell Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert services in patient-derived organoid (PDO) and stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stem cell biology and experience in working with ES/iPS cell differentiation systems. You will be responsible for setting up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request, and will work closely with our team to deliver projects to agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert services in patient-derived organoid (PDO) and stem cell differentiation procedures
  • Perform CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services
  • Set up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request
  • Work closely with our team to deliver projects to agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with researchers to provide the latest technologies in stem cell biology and gene editing

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems
  • At least 1 year experience in CRISPR/CAS9 or related gene editing system
  • Experience in working in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/R&D Facility
  • Strong Tissue Culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs
  • Experience in cell lines gene editing
  • Experience with immunofluorescence, confocal, and FACS analysis for cellular characterizations

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field
  • Master/PhD degree a plus

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in Spanish

Working Conditions

  • Technical and scientific activities contract – estimated 1 year with possibility of extension
  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
