We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Cornellà del Terri, Girona. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and executing field and laboratory tests, ensuring the highest scientific standards and compliance with international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct tests, in both field and laboratory settings, according to international guidelines (OECD, EPPO, BPR and others).
- Implement tests initially in our facilities, with the potential to scale to real-world situations in crop fields or pest-infested premises.
- Work independently and proactively in test design and implementation.
- Ensure the scientific integrity, timely delivery, and financial success of contracted studies.
- Supervise and mentor team members according to their respective roles in various study types.
- Communicate effectively with international clients and subcontractors.
- Perform general administrative and laboratory tasks in compliance with GEP/GLP standards and Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) required; MSc or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, or Agronomy preferred.
- Knowledge of the biology and breeding of arthropods and molluscs is advantageous.
- Phytosanitary and/or the biocide applicator certification is desirable.
- Understanding of the agricultural and livestock sectors.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Specific experience in efficacy testing is not mandatory but will be highly valued; experience in project management and field trials is beneficial.
- Proficiency in scientific English is required.
- Willingness to travel to test fields across Spain and attend meetings in various locations.
