Job Title: Software Sales Engineer

At Avl Iberica, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Sales Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Software Business Unit, you will play a vital role in determining customer needs for Simulation & Testing Software and translating these needs into cost-effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate technical solutions and quotations in response to customer requirements for AVL Simulation & Testing Software.
  • Identify new business opportunities for AVL Software Business Unit.
  • Develop relationships within existing customer base and acquire new customers for AVL Software Business Unit, driving sales and achieving business targets.
  • Make presentations and conduct software demonstrations at customer locations or via online meetings.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of AVL portfolio, and reach alignments to provide a solution.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Prepare sales plans using company tools. Support/preparation forecasting planning tasks. Performs regular status reviews throughout the AVL worldwide organization.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in AVL SW solutions. Provide market feedback for future software development and improvement.
  • Ensure local execution of go-to-market strategies / product launches ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Support customer during on-boarding phase and collect customer satisfaction information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors' degree or Masters' degree in Industrial engineering / Electrical or Electronic engineering / Automotive engineering or other related SW Engineering.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. German desirable.
  • Self-motivated and capable of setting and executing the strategy to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills – ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Self-confident personality with communication and intercultural skills.
  • High technical understanding.
  • Sales or sales support experience.
  • Highly customer focused and able to solve customer related issues to mutual satisfaction.
  • Planning, prioritizing and coordinating workload with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to travel (10%). Commitment and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry & its current challenges.
