About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Engineer to join our team at MacDermid Graphics Solutions. As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and resolving any technical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support to troubleshoot and diagnose system failures, malfunctions, and breakdowns
  • Assess customer support needs remotely and attend site breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Deliver routine maintenance requirements to improve equipment performance at customer premises
  • Conduct analysis of equipment and report potential issues or failures
  • Implement improvement plans as designated by the Engineering and Projects Manager
  • Maintain site standards in areas of maintenance, installation of new equipment, modifications, testing, and inspection
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar level position with similar processes
  • Master's degree in Engineering or similar qualification
  • Very good spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Experience of working in a multi-skilled maintenance role requiring mechanical and some electrical knowledge
  • Understanding of PLC systems and general engineering/maintenance principles and techniques
  • Experience in automated systems and pre-press in the packaging industry, ideally troubleshooting flexographic plate and print issues
