About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our pre-opening team at the Four Seasons Hotel Mallorca at Formentor, Spain. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and providing service and repairs to hotel equipment, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, ground care, parking areas, outsourced gardening team, fire and safety. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all inquiries are responded to in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to deliver the highest of standards consistently and to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and employees.
Responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and handling preventative maintenance of all equipment
- Diagnosing and handling repairs of equipment
- Responding to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas
- Responding to emergency maintenance conditions
- Installing or relocating electrical and mechanical systems when necessary
- Assisting with the hotel energy conservation programs in the hotel
Requirements: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Shift Engineer who has a strong background in general building maintenance and environmental standards. You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, a high level of integrity and transparency, strong technical expertise, an eye for detail, and a passion for service.
