Logistics Operations Manager

Johnson Controls International is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage the transportation operations within our supply chain. The successful candidate will work closely with our third-party logistics provider to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods, while optimizing shipments and managing transportation costs. Key responsibilities include coordinating with the provider and other departments to schedule deliveries, track shipments, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. The Logistics Coordinator will also monitor the performance of the 3PL provider, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and resolving any transportation-related issues that may arise. To be successful in this role, you will need to work closely with stakeholders to ensure On Time, In Full Delivery for our customers. This includes close monitoring of transport orders and raising advance notice with stakeholders if delays are expected. You will also work closely with the Warehouse team to ensure that orders are picked/packed and ready for collection by our transporters. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that shipping documents are prepared completely and correctly prior to shipments. Timely support for reject/return orders, ensuring that return forms and supporting documents are in order, is also a key aspect of this role. Furthermore, you will support Logistics reporting for CDC and UK Spoke, especially for root cause analysis and supporting documents. If you have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant working experience in logistics coordination/control tower operations and shipping document preparation, and are comfortable working in a matrix organization, we encourage you to apply. Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is preferred. You will also need to have a high level of English and good communication skills, as well as a meticulous attention to detail.
