The Opportunity
Puig is seeking a Store Manager to lead our team in Barcelona, reporting to the Regional Sell Through Manager. The ideal candidate is a sales expert with a passion for the beauty and fashion industry, able to foster brand loyalty among high-end clients and influence local communities.
Key Responsibilities
SALES:
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and serve as a contact person for customers and colleagues.
- Represent the company's image and ensure staff are recruited accordingly.
- Ensure excellent customer reception and monitor sales to maintain customer satisfaction and quality standards.
- Manage sensitive cases and complaints during the sales process.
- Oversee customer service activities, monitoring task completion and quality of customer contact to increase shop traffic and customer retention.
- Contribute to sales and achievement of targets.
Public Relations
- Collaborate with local marketing teams to gather market knowledge.
- Scout corporate clients and establish collaborations in compliance with company policies.
Shop Team
- Support the supervisor and People Team in scouting and selecting new employees.
- Create a work team that coordinates activities to engage and equip team members.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating knowledge of company values and policies.
- Provide professional development and training to staff.
- Assist in resolving conflicts within the shop team.
- Set and meet quantitative and qualitative targets by analyzing results and conducting annual appraisals.
- Keep staff informed of shop performance using necessary tools.
- Ensure internal procedures are followed.
- Manage administrative and accounting tasks.
- Enforce labour laws and sales regulations with head office or local support.
- Maintain team and customer safety.
Product & Visual Set-up
- Stay informed about market trends and competitors.
- Have extensive knowledge of merchandise in all product categories.
- Plan and organize product launches according to the merchandising calendar.
- Ensure window displays are in order and prepare product displays according to company guidelines.
- Ensure shop appearance and product maintenance meet company standards.
Stockroom
- Monitor and order stock to meet shop sales potential.
- Optimize stock management to ensure efficient sales and company policies.
- Care for valuable products and materials in the shop.
- Monitor and control year-end, sector, and rotational inventory by product category.
Procedures
- Communicate company policies and ensure proper implementation.
- Monitor shop area to prevent theft and loss.
- Work with the Line Manager to report and manage losses.
- Ensure proper application of security procedures.
- Operate and maintain shop systems and equipment.
We're Looking for
You have significant experience in a fragrance, beauty, or luxury brand, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a management position.
You have at least 5 years of experience with high performance as a Store Manager.
You are sales-driven with a customer-centric approach and highly sensitive to customer experience and loyalty.
You are a host and business owner with a strong ambition to achieve set quantitative and qualitative objectives.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and good listening skills.
You are a leader by example.
You are open-minded, focused, and able to use your own initiative.
You have effective communication, teamwork enhancement, and decisiveness.
You have good analytical and computer skills.
You are flexible in work schedules and tasks to accomplish.
You have a perfect command of English in addition to the local language.
