We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Financial Controller, responsible for managing all financial transactions.

This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, from overseeing fixed payments and variable expenses to handling bank deposits and budgets.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights to senior management by analysing financial data to identify profit growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage robust financial controls in strict accordance with the company's procedures, ensuring the integrity of financial processes
  • Deliver timely and precise budgeting and financial forecasting, supporting informed decision-making
  • Analyse and interpret financial data, offering recommendations to enhance systems and financial performance
  • Record, verify, consolidate, and input transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting information
  • Ensure effective accounting management, adhering to all relevant regulations and handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Maintain day-to-day control of all accounting systems, guaranteeing accurate financial data processing according to internal procedures
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns to ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements for comprehensive financial oversight
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant financial and tax reporting laws
  • Maintain payroll records in line with statutory regulations and oversee the payroll accounting process with the support of our payroll assessors
  • Record all bank payments and collections and perform reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and efficiently archive documentation supporting the company's accounting
  • Skilfully manage payable, receivable, and debtor accounting, ensuring accurate reconciliation

Requirements

  • A commitment to precision and excellent analytical abilities
  • Prior experience working in compliance with UK financial regulations
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting, with a strong understanding of economic and banking processes
  • The ability to create financial strategies in alignment with company goals
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and budgeting
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related discipline
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing expertise in strategic financial planning, controlling, and management
