About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineering Manager to join our team at Alstom in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing the reliability and availability of Rolling Stock, Signalling and Power systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Propose optimisation of maintenance injecting technology.
- Provide technical design modification within the applicable Standards.
- Animate Engineering Technical Issues meetings and Action follow-up.
- Prepare and attend Contractual failures meetings.
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation in the form of specifications, test procedures, modification instructions, maintenance and safety instructions, and technical reports.
- Continually review all Maintenance, Reliability, Overhaul and associated documents to ensure all are up-to-date and correctly formatted.
- Act as a technical expert, continuously developing expertise in selected field.
- Propose and define insertion of technology as HealthHub (Catenary Tracer, Track Tracer, Point Machine Tracer, Train Tracer, etc.).
- Develop local repair ability in Barcelona, especially the electronic repair as APS or Agate2.
- Demonstrate business case for localisation of maintenance activity (Corrective, Overhaul...).
- Respond to Client requests received through letter or Monthly Report comments.
- Support optimisation of the maintenance schedule and casualty repair procedures in light of service experience and Operations feedback.
- Justification of inspection periodicity, Specification of materials and tools, Arranging and carrying out validation of tasks.
- Carry out product/process audits of depot maintenance and casualty repairs.
- Support the production of preventive & corrective & overhaul LCC, then optimisation.
Requirements
- Recognised engineering qualification.
- Languages: Spanish (high level); English (technical level).
- Coordination and management ability.
- Experience in RS Warranty.
- Good knowledge of railway systems.
- Previous LCC experience.
- Good understanding of railway maintenance requirements and costs.
- Previous vehicle reliability/safety engineering experience, preferably in a railway background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Resilience and sense of hard work.
