Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Global Safety Strategist to join our team in Barcelona, where you will play a key part in driving our safety management strategy and promoting a culture of excellence.

About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in occupational health and safety (OHS). As a Global Safety Strategist, you will be responsible for leading our safety management initiatives, ensuring compliance with local and global regulations, and developing innovative solutions to mitigate risks associated with our production processes, logistics, and office operations.

Your expertise will help us drive towards a safety-first mindset across all levels of our organization. You will work closely with our teams to develop and implement effective safety procedures, conduct regular inspections, and provide coaching and training to ensure a high level of safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Management System: Develop, implement, and monitor our OHSAS 18001 & ISO 45001 compliant safety management system to ensure seamless integration with our global standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Safety Training and Awareness: Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to promote a culture of safety awareness, equipping employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
  • Leadership Development: Provide coaching and mentoring to our leadership team to ensure they possess the necessary safety skills and knowledge to effectively lead their teams.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations, laws, and industry standards, staying up-to-date on changes and updates to maintain our competitive edge.
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging and rewarding role, you'll need:

  • A University degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior safety role, preferably within a multinational corporation or a large-scale industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in OHSAS 18001 & ISO 45001, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining compliant safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions to safety-related challenges.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, when required, to support global safety initiatives and collaborations.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
