Bioinformatics Specialist

About the Role

At ADM, we are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team. As a Bioinformatics Specialist, you will play a key role in analyzing and integrating high-throughput Multi-omics datasets, including Genomics, Metagenomics, Transcriptomics, and Metabolomics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and apply innovative computational methods to analyze and integrate high-throughput Multi-omics datasets.
• Data interpretation and comprehensive reporting and communication.
• Work transversally with ADM teams and external experts in the field on study design, analysis, and interpretation of preclinical and clinical data.
• Communicate the results to internal teams and external partners.
• Lead peer-reviewed scientific publications, scientific communications, and patents.

Requirements

• PhD in Biological Sciences (Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology) or equivalent.
• Graduate/postgraduate education in data science, scripting (R, Python, etc), data analysis, machine learning, and statistical models for reproducible data science.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with any other language a plus.
• At least 5 years of proven experience, ideally as postgraduate work in bioinformatics and/or biostatistics.
• Experience in analyzing and integrating Microbiome-based datasets.
• Development and/or implementation of methodologies and tools.
• Experience with high-performance computing environments.
• Experience in Microbial systems modeling.
• Experience in project management.
• Teamwork and know-how transfer capacity.
• Organizational, attention to detail, and open-mindedness.
• Proactive, creative, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Ability to simultaneously manage and execute multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
