Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Fluor Corporation. As a key member of our E&I department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our regional team in Tarragona Home Office.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Calculations and Problem-Solving: Perform and check calculations for simple equipment, and solve problems of basic to moderate engineering complexity.
- Review Vendor Documentation: Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
- Develop Estimates and Reports: Develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantity tracking reports.
- Identify Deviations and Initiate Trends: Identify deviations in job scope, estimate magnitude of changes, and initiate trends or change orders.
- Support Estimate Activities: Support estimate activities.
- Interface with Project Disciplines and Client Representatives: Interface with project disciplines and client representatives.
- Develop Client Relations: Develop and build client relations promoting Client Service Excellence.
- Participate in Procurement and Permitting Activities: Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
- Review Vendor Lists and Prepare Quotation Requests: Assist in the review of vendor lists, preparation of quotation requests, bid tabulations, purchase orders, and considerations for substitutions for technical acceptability.
- Analyze and Make Recommendations: Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
- Organize and Prioritize Tasks: Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Plan and Organize Work Assignments: Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.
- Prepare Scopes of Work for Third-Party Contracts: Prepare/review scopes of work for third-party contracts.
- Perform Control Systems Sizing Calculations: Perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves, relief valves, flow elements, thermowells, and other instrumentation.
- Create Instrument Index and Datasheets: Create instrument index, datasheets, and generate reports in Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation database.
- Develop Control Systems Narrative Specifications: Develop control systems narrative specifications.
- Acquire Knowledge for Control Systems Logic Diagrams: Acquire basic knowledge to develop control systems logic diagrams and/or cause and effect diagrams.
- Develop Control Systems Estimates and Reports: Develop control systems estimates and report on control systems progress.
- Develop Specifications and Design for Distributed Control Systems: Develop specifications and design of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) hardware and software applications and implementation in software configuration.
