European Head, Scientific Data Strategy

About the Role:

Parexel is seeking an experienced professional to lead our European data strategy, driving innovation and growth in the region. As European Head, Scientific Data Strategy, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing cutting-edge access to real-world scientific data (RWD) within your region of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a global RWD acquisition strategy within the region, ensuring seamless integration with our global operations.
  • Identify gaps in Parexel's scientific and real-world data coverage, recommending strategic partnerships to fill these gaps.
  • Perform return-on-investment assessments to inform decision-making on data provider partnerships.
  • Establish and manage governance frameworks for regional RWD partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure data access and use are fully operational, with a focus on delivering impactful results.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare, scientific, and real-world data environment, with a deep understanding of the clinical research process and business.
  • Broad cross-functional experience, with expertise in major patient data models (e.g., CDISC, OMOP, LOINC, FHIR, MEDra, SnoMED, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply scientific or real-world data solutions to address clinical or commercial questions and needs.
  • Experience with budgets and cost evaluation of RWD-based solutions.
  • Understanding of project management principles and leadership skills in an evolving environment.
  • Master's degree in biomedical informatics, public health, data science, life sciences, or a related field.
