Job Title: Director, Operational Strategy

Precision Medicine Group is a leading precision medicine Contract Research Organization (CRO). We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Operational Strategy to join our team.

About the Role

The Director, Operational Strategy will be a key member of our Operational Strategy Department, responsible for driving and supporting operational strategy considerations for RFPs and bid defenses. This will involve analyzing complex clinical studies globally, understanding the competitive environment, and developing strategic plans for study design and rationale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational strategy input, text, and budget review for proposals.
  • Collaborate with medical, operational, business development, and proposal colleagues to develop and refine operational strategies.
  • Create and develop study budgets and support the development and finalization of study budgets for potential opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Project Management and Clinical Trial Management to transition operational strategy approaches ahead of opportunity bid defense and support post-bid defense follow-up items.
  • Mentor and train Operational Strategy colleagues and Precision colleagues in aspects of strategy and budgeting for clinical research.
  • Represent Precision Medicine Group in client meetings and support capabilities presentations and client meetings.
  • Provide feasibility and competitive landscape direction input and support for bid defense meetings.
  • Create innovative solutions in conjunction with medical and scientific strategy and provide consulting services for clients seeking input.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A life sciences degree (minimum required).
  • 12+ years of experience in the CRO/Pharmaceutical industry or equivalent relevant experience and/or demonstrated competencies.
  • Relevant experience in operational strategy analysis and budget review.
  • Ideal experience in Haematology/Oncology, Rare disease, CNS, and Precision's identified target therapeutic area clinical development focused on strategy, feasibility, budget development, and execution of all phases of clinical trials.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong ability to develop and review study budgets in alignment with study delivery strategy.
  • Active listening and strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking.
  • Able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web/data-based platforms.

Travel Requirements

This role requires domestic and international travel, including overnight stays.
