Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful commissioning of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to commission and optimize BESS systems.
  • Develop commissioning plans and participate in project design reviews to ensure commissioning requirements are met.
  • Set up system operation environments, configure EMS/HMI and enclosure-related equipment, and network devices.
  • Provide technical support to field teams and ASPs, and perform BESS system commissioning, including examining/inspecting conditions, identifying issues, and running contractual capacity tests.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and test reports, and work with system operation teams to fix potential issues.
  • Drive projects from commission to COD, assist with managing schedules, and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled milestone dates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • 5+ years' experience in related fields, such as utility construction, commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with commissioning software and tools, and experience with Linux and Python preferred.
  • Proven excellence in leading matrix teams for successful delivery of complex projects related to energy infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, and write Spanish and English.
