About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Director to join Cero Generation's leadership team. This key position will oversee the company's Engineering and Technical team, ensuring strategic direction and technical excellence across the project portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership of the Cero Generation Engineering team, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical oversight and guidance during development, including feasibility studies, project reviews, and technical due diligence processes.
  • Collaboration with the Investment Committee to analyze new opportunities and identify technical risks and opportunities.
  • Leadership of technical due diligence processes for project acquisitions and divestments, working with external technical advisors and stakeholders.
  • Technical oversight and coordination during the procurement phase, including definition of technical specifications and evaluation of contractor proposals.
  • Leadership of technical aspects during construction, supervising EPC contractors and suppliers, and providing technical support to the Asset Management team during the operational phase.
  • Establishment and maintenance of strong technical and commercial relationships with industry-leading service providers.
  • Recruitment, retention, and development of a world-class Engineering team to support the business.
  • Collaboration with senior leaders across the organization, including Development, Delivery, Procurement, Grid, Construction, and Asset Management.
  • Reporting on technical progress and providing insightful risk and opportunity analysis to the team and management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, with a strong track record of technical excellence and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and storage projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and provide insightful risk and opportunity analysis.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive technical innovation and improvement.
