About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Senior Downstream Business Development Analyst, where you will play a key role in implementing our downstream growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate business development opportunities in the downstream sector, including refining, petrochemicals, marketing, and logistics.
  2. Develop and execute investment strategies, including due diligence, risk assessments, and negotiations.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize investment proposals and align with corporate strategies.
  4. Support downstream activities, including partnership development and risk identification.
  5. Optimize business portfolios and negotiate agreements.
  6. Guide junior analysts in reviewing legal documents and agreements.
  7. Explore opportunities for product marketing and technology licensing.
  8. Participate in financial analysis and valuation of assets.
  9. Develop negotiation strategies and project execution plans.
  10. Utilize market data for proactive opportunity identification.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics.
  2. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  3. Minimum 9 years of professional experience in downstream business development.
  4. Strong track record in technical, economic, and commercial aspects of downstream businesses.
  5. Experience in refining, petrochemicals, marketing, lubricants, logistics, and storage.
  6. Deep understanding of associated operations, optimization, and value-chain integration.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex internal stakeholder groups and negotiate with partners and service providers.
  9. Knowledge of international business and cross-cultural professional practices.
  10. Experience in executing term sheets and definitive agreements in downstream transactions.
  11. Proficiency in managing post-transaction integrations, setup, and readiness.
