About the Role

Scopely is seeking a highly skilled Art Director to lead our Monopoly GO team in creating captivating game experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the artistic vision and direction of our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Art Directors to ensure creative material aligns with the game vision and meets exceptional quality standards.
  • Develop and implement art direction for various features and content, working closely with artists to deliver outstanding results.
  • Establish and drive an art culture that fosters talent, maximizes team potential, and encourages cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Manage the art team's performance, providing effective oversight of training and resourcing needs.
  • Partner with art producers to drive the art team's production process and ensure timely delivery of high-quality art assets.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the creative process and implement changes to enhance the overall player experience.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure art requirements are met and external art needs are supported.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing large groups of artists and shipping successful titles as an Art Lead or Associate AD.
  • Proven track record of developing social games on mobile platforms, with a focus on casual games.
  • Strong understanding of whimsical art styles and ability to apply expert-level art judgment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and guidance to team members.
  • Deep understanding of how game art supports gameplay, UX, narrative, and brand positioning/marketing.
  • Familiarity with game pipelines and their restrictions.
  • 7+ years of experience in Art Lead or Associate AD role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with IPs and Unity.
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing your work.
