Job Title: Functional Safety Engineer for Automotive

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to join our team at Applus IDIADA. As a key member of our Electronics Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our vehicle systems, working closely with our clients to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement functional safety requirements for vehicle systems, adhering to the ISO 26262 standard.
  • Analyze potential hazards and risks associated with electric and electronic malfunctions, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and validate safety-critical systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including safety reports and validation plans.
  • Support the development of procedures and methodologies for safety-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the ISO 26262 standard and functional safety principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
