Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Functional Safety Engineer to join our Electronics Team in IDIADA HQ. As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to work on applications related to functional safety applied to different systems of the vehicle.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Defining vehicle features according to customer design, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Thermal Management, and Battery Management System.
  • Analyzing potential hazards in case of electric and electronic malfunctions and assessing the risks associated with those hazards.
  • Defining safety goals and functional safety requirements to prevent hazardous events.
  • Defining technical safety requirements and safety architectural design of vehicle features.
  • Safety validation of vehicle features.
  • Supporting activities for improving procedures and methodologies, including definition of checklists, templates, and guidelines.
  • Participating in project definition and quotations, including communication with clients to determine their needs and preparation of offers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good background in Electronics or Mechanics.
  • A passion for the automotive industry.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent team-working, organization, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of traditional Office suites, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with knowledge of German being an asset.
