Job Description:

A job opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer within Airbus Defence & Space to be based on the Getafe site in Spain.

The successful candidate will join the Medium & Light Area and will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team, mainly dedicated to the definition and integration of mechanical systems installation in C295 Programs as well as other M&L platforms (CN235, C212, ...).

The Mechanical System Installation team stands for Quality & Improvement related to Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control System, Equipment integration on aircraft among others.

It is a dynamic area, leading digital product innovation and LEAN Design, team working with an AGILE mindset, adding value within Mechanical systems requirements integration and troubleshooting issues in production and in service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Systems definition from System Architecture
  • Mechanical Components Specification for purchasing
  • Mechanical Parts Documentation for Manufacturing
  • Mechanical Systems Installation Documentation for assembling
  • Interfacing with external partners and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test report and Project follow-up meetings

Required Competences & Skills:

  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
  • Deep Knowledge and experience in CATIA and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
  • Abilities to accept Design delegation
  • Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player
  • Committed to their own development to learn new skills
  • Fluent in Writing and Spoken English (B2 level or higher)
  • Deep Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures design
  • Knowledge and/or experience in work linked to Aeronautical military projects
