Job Description:
A permanent job opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer within Airbus Defence & Space to be based in Spain. The successful candidate will join the TADAM-TL2 department at the Combat area and will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team, covering the integration of EuroMALE mechanical systems as well as other military platforms (Eurofighter, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)...).

Main Activities:
The main activities of a Mechanical System integration & Design Engineer are related to delivering technical solutions in support of building, testing, and delivering aircraft:

  • Mechanical Systems definition from System Architecture
  • Mechanical Components Specification for purchasing
  • Mechanical Parts Documentation for Manufacturing
  • Mechanical Systems Installation Documentation for assembling
  • Interfacing with external partners and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test reports, and Project follow-up meetings.

Required Competences & Skills:

  • Fluent in Writing and Spoken English (B2 level or higher)

  • Committed to their own development to learn new skills

  • Knowledge and experience in CATIA and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures design
  • Knowledge and/or experience in work linked to Aeronautical military projects
  • Professional experience as Engineer / Designer on Fluid Systems Installations (hydraulic, fuel, pneumatics, etc)
