At Chubb, we are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Operations Technician to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our Underwriting Operations team, you will provide consistent and efficient end-to-end support for online and offline business handled in the UWR Centre, as well as support for language-dependent tasks in branch.

This role reports directly to the Underwriting Operations Technician Team Leader and is responsible for:

  • Supporting rules-based branch activities that require language skills and technical ability.
  • Inputting relevant information in rating tools, maintaining data quality through accurate input.
  • Providing operational support for underwriters for online and offline business in the Hub.
  • Managing broker queries in relation to online and offline business and building good working relationships with local brokers.
  • Owning centralized processes of Operations QA and reporting.
  • Working within the framework of our ethical and service standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Native or advanced level in Swedish and/or Danish.
  • Professional language skills in English.
  • Previous experience in an underwriting support role is a plus.
  • Insurance background is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills and customer-centric attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver and improve quality.
  • Problem resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.
