Clinical Trials Business Development Specialist

The Aixial Group, an international Contract Research Organization (CRO), is a member of the ALTEN Group. Our complex services in clinical trials (phase I-IV) and non-interventional studies span across multiple locations including France, UK, US, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Romania, and India.
We occupy a unique position in the clinical research industry, supporting biotech and pharma companies across all phases of development as experts in the operational delivery of clinical trials in complex disease areas including oncology and rare diseases with full-service and FSP models.
The Role:We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Business Development Associate to join our sales team throughout Europe and the US. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to fast-track their Business Development career in life sciences.
The BD Associate position can be remote/home-based and offers a great chance to work in a global, dynamic, and intellectually stimulating environment.
- Hunting for new business from potential biotech and pharmaceutical companies using phone calls, business intelligence, social media, and CRM tools.
- Supporting scheduling and planning of prospect meetings.
- Attending regional and national marketing events for lead generation.
- Discussing promotional strategy and activities with the Business Development Team.
- Creating and driving marketing campaigns.
- Capturing, documenting, and reporting information provided by prospective clients to ensure adequate and effective information sharing with the Business Development Team.
- Identifying potential sales opportunities.
- Qualifying leads identified by phone and email in close contact with the Business Development Team to generate opportunities for receiving RFPs.
- Managing automated email and CRM tools.
- Responding to guidance and instruction offered by the Business Development Team.
- Understanding Aixial Group solutions and potential client challenges and needs.
A successful candidate will meet or exceed KPIs for account identification and qualification, lead generation, and client engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications:We are looking for candidates with 2+ years experience and proven business development success in the clinical trials/CRO industry in sales, operations, or purchasing/outsourcing roles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- English proficiency is required.
- Ability to communicate confidently and articulate business development principles internally and externally.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
- Determination to reach defined objectives and resilience to overcome client objections.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience is required.
What We Offer:This role provides an opportunity to be part of an innovative organization in a growth phase, with a competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
